Biography
European champion sprinter. 10-times Soviet champion. Represented Soviet Union at the Olympics once in 1952.
Sechenova was the leading sprinter of Soviet Union in late 40s. She made 100-200 double in 1946 European Championships and gets two more individual silver four years later in Brussels by losing Fanny Blankers-Koen. Retired from athletics after Helsinki 1952 Games.
She worked as a senior team coach in Dynamo Moscow team for years. Awarded Order of Red Banner of Labor in 1957.
Died in 1990 at the aged 71. Buried at the Vostryakovskiy Cemetery, Moscow.
