Biography
Bulgarian sprint star, Olympian, sport scientist. Regarded by many, he was top sprinter in Balkans at sixties. Contested eleven Balkan Champs for Bulgaria and won 15 gold medals - most of any Bulgarian. Also secured 28 national titles. Broke national records both 100 and 200 metres. Represented his country at 1960 Rome Olympics in 100 metres, but eliminated in heats. He attended European Champs twice (1958, 1962).
After retirement, he stayed in sports. Became a professor in sports sciences and lectured many more. He helped 123 Bulgarian national champions in different sports (source - fccska.com).

♦ Hosted a recreational sports-theme TV show in BNT for 16 years.
