We compiled daily notes from Mediterranean Games athletics competition. Day two notes are below.

♦ Giovanna Epis wins women's half marathon at the Games - brought fourth consecutive gold to Italy.

♦ Moroccans secured four medals in two road races (half marathon) in the morning.

♦ 21 year-old Algerian Bilel Afer wins HJ final with eight centimetres increase of his PB (2.16). He managed to clear 2.19, 2.22 and 2.24 in the third attempt.

♦ Majed Eldin Ghazal, only athlete from Syria, took silver medal in HJ final.

♦ Turkish Olympic medallist Yasmani Copello took revenge from Frenchman Ludvy Vaillant who wins 2018 gold over him, clocked 48.27 games record in 400m hurdles.

♦ Italy have continued their winning streak on men's 4x100 relay. Their seventh consecutive win came over Turkey by 0.03 margin. From beginning, Italy only lost three times 4x100 metres gold - all of them to France.

♦ Albanian Luiza Gega retains her steeplechase crown in Oran. She has produced magnificent solo run by eventually clocking 9:14.29 - Med Games and national record.

♦ Noura Ennadi clinched Morocco's 10th medal (bronze) in 400 metres hurdles - only Italy have more (11).

♦ 24-year old Serbian Milica Gardasevic replaced to her compatriot Ivana Spanovic's seat as newly crowned Med Games LJ champion. It was sixth gold to Serbia at the games - second in this edition.
