Biography

Legendary Turkish sports lecturer. 1952 Olympian. Former president of national athletics and boxing federations.

He was excelled in throwing events particularly discus. Broke NR three-times in discus. Represented Turkey at international athletics 92 times between 1945 and 1962. Won 15 national titles in shot put and discus.

Contested in 1952 Olympics as an athlete and was Turkish Team flag bearer in Rome 1960. Had master degree from London Aldershot Sports School (1958). Worked as General Sports Director of Turkish Gendarmerie Club (1966-75) and PE Teacher in TED Ankara College (1968-98). Died in Ankara at age of 92. Served as a president both Turkish Boxing Federation (1970-73) and Turkish Athletics Federation (1977-78, 80-81).
