Biography

Balkan champion sprinter. Short-lived sport career, he competed several times in Romania national team. Won 1960 national title for 100 metres.

TRIVIA
♦ Born and raised in Hungarian community in Transilvania.
♦ Studied law at the University of Bucharest. Led 1989 Revolution in Romania which eventually ended with Ceausescu's execution. After the revolution, he appointed as vice-president of Supreme Court of Romania for a short while.
♦ Exiled to Hungary for six years after clashed with Romanian extremists.
♦ Penned a book named Black Spring - a political diary in Romania.
♦ His daughter Reka filmed his story in a documentary.
