Ukraine Shot put European shot put champion in Munich 2002.
Attended three consecutive Olympic Games starting from 2000. Finished in fifth place in 2000, Bilonog has reached his first Olympics gold medal in 2004. After a tie-breaking throw placed Ukrainian at the top of the podium, but later his Olympic gold medal was dropped due to an anti-doping case in 2012.
